My Passion

Jason Guevara FB.jpg

"I would like to see the end of the negative depiction of mental illness. I want everyone to know that it’s okay to not be okay. We understand that by seeking help you are taking a huge first step in your personal recovery and we will do everything we can to help you feel better.

I have worked exclusively with the forensic population at a state-run psychiatric hospital. Many of the patients were homeless, had criminal charges, and an extensive history of trauma or abuse. By working with this underserved and often neglected population, I am often reminded of the quote, “everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” I have been humbled and honored to be a part of many patients’ recovery from mental illness. I would be honored to help you on your journey."
